The Project

Working with the FA on the delivery of the 2022 Women’s Euro. The tournament, hosted in July 2022 across England, is set to be the biggest women’s Euro tournament ever. In April ticket sales reached 350,000, already exceeding the previous tournament’s attendance of 247, 041.

Equal Kicks has been brought onto the project by the FA and 4Global consulting to deliver an events logistics role.

The Company

The Just Football App is a mobile app that aims to get young people more physically active, whilst also improving their football skills. Just Football uses AR, AI, computer vision and machine learning to allow users to track the speed and accuracy of their shot, directly to their smartphone. The app works with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Hannover 96, and boasts a global user base in excess of 300,000.

The Project

The Just Football App team identified they had a low number of female users, therefore, they brought on Equal Kicks as a consultant to discuss engaging with underrepresented groups in football, and in particular female players.

The Delivery 

Equal Kicks delivered a mini series of skills videos that were embedded into the app. Our founder Lauren heria also delivered a YouTube video with footballer Caitlin Trevor and ParaFootball, to celebrate ParaFootball weekend and highlight the achievements and challenges faced by Caitlin, a footballer with Down syndrome.

The Company

Sports Interactive (SI) is an ambitious development studio creating immersive sports management simulations. Sports Interactive delivers the BAFTA award winning game Football Manager. 

The Project

Sports Interactive is introducing women’s football to Football Manager. Therefore extensive research is required on women’s leagues, teams, clubs,and players to create the database for the game.

The Delivery

Equal Kicks successfully bid to deliver the research project for the Women’s National League South. We are currently in the initial research phase of the project, utilizing our knowledge and contacts within the National League system to gather data and create a team of sub-researchers.

The Project 

Loughborough University was awarded a research grant by FIFA to complete a piece of research on brand identity in women’s football. 

The Delivery

Loughborough University approached our founder, Lauren Heria, to come on board as a research assistant. The head researchers wanted to leverage Lauren’s, and Equal Kick’s, knowledge and network within the English women’s game to gain deep and meaningful insights.

The project is currently in its first reporting stage and will complete in early 2023. The findings will be shared by FIFA and Loughborough University, and made accessible on the Equal Kicks website.
